Rank on google first page 2020 - 10 Easy Steps

SEO isn't new but, most important part of ranking any website on Google. What is SEO? This guide will be an introduction to how to rank your website on Google forst page, a hugely important tactic for driving traffic to your site.

10 Easy Steps to Rank on google first page in 2020

If you follow this steps your site will be ranked in Google within 15 days.

1. Ask a Question in your Title

The first trend we’ve seen is to ask a question in your title.

In other words, you want to click. If you rank second on Google and if someone ranks number one then your listing gets more clicks then listing number one, what do you think Google says?

It told Google that the number two list should be number one and the number one list number should be number two. So consider asking a question in your title tag. Not only did the backlinks have that data, clickflow by Eric Sue also found similar data points. So in other words, ask questions in your title.

2. Title Tag

Title tags between 40 and 58 characters tend to do really well.

We've found that short title tags do very well these days. One of the biggest reasons for this is that many of us now have mobile devices, we don't just use laptops or desktop computers. We use lots of mobile devices. Google now has more searches for mobile devices then they search from desktop or laptop computers.
It shows you that short and makes the point very well. Now here’s something interesting, it’s not just title tags it’s also a research and they found that when they don’t just make their title tags shorter their URLs they found that it actually performs better than longer one's.

3. Add Meta Descriptions

The third tip for you is to add meta descriptions.

I know it sounds like common sense but like everyone else yes, we all have meta descriptions. Well, when we look at most sites, including apps, when we crawl using Ubersuggest, we find that more than 30% of the sites we crawl on a daily basis don't even have meta tags. Instead, they're just letting Google place meta descriptions for them. Now, the thing is here, by adding a meta description you can get another 5.8% click. It's simple, the language, text or message you're delivering makes it more appealing than your competition so you're controlling that language.

4. Optimization for Featured Snippets

My fourth tip for you, optimize for featured snippets

According to Ahrefs, the number one spot is dominated by snippets featuring 50 to 65%. And adding structured markup to your site helps. This makes your site very mobile-friendly which helps you get more traffic. So add structural markup, because that’s the way it is. This will increase the odds that you can place in the featured snippet box.

5. Keyword Placement and Concentration

I give you the fifth tip, keyword placement and concentration, it is still important.

According to a survey by authorities hackers, after they analyzed millions of SERPS, it was determined that putting your keywords in H1 tags, meta tags, meta descriptions, title tags had a lot more to do with page rankings. So in other words, the basics, the old school techniques we used to do six, seven, 10 years ago and really emphasized, are still important.
The keyword concentration of about 1% is what you want. Stay, you know at 5%, 4% that these are a lot more than all the keyword stuffing, and nowadays Google algorithms are smart enough, they know that when you talk about dog food, it's similar to talking to a pit bull, dog food, or Puppies are related to national foods and these kinds of keywords.

In other words, thesaurus, they have this huge build in the dictionary and they can understand what people actually mean. They know that when you're typing an apple you're looking for an apple or an Apple computer if you're eating.

So you don’t need things more than you did years ago. And hey, if you're trying to figure out how to do all of this to optimize for your title tag, meta tag, H1 tag, you no longer have to do it manually.

6. Add your keywords to the URL

The sixth tip is to add your keywords to the URL.

On average, URLs with keywords had a 45% higher CTR, then there were no keywords in the URL that people were looking for. You know you clicked through the title tags and meta descriptions and are sure that this kind of thing can help but also tell the searcher that your keyword is in the URL, hey, this is the result I am looking for.

7. Optimize for the Parent Topic

My seventh tip for you, optimize for the parent topic.

A good example of this is the SEO startup powered by Moz. So Moz has a lot of articles on SEO but if you look at their starting guide they have this main page which discusses SEO and its overview, they go into each one.

They all return to the parent page through each individual category of SEO and internal connections, from on-page optimization to building optimization.

8. Optimize your Internal Linking Structure

Your web pages should have a good structure not only based on the needs of the visitors but also based on the needs of the search engines. The more organized and relevant your internal links are, the easier it will be for Google to index and rank your content.

Each page on the web has a "Page Authority" (PA) which is a score based on internal and external links. Those with higher ratings are better positioned in search results. The authority part is transmitted from one page to another through links. Google recommends placing the most important pages in the first three levels of your site.

9. Improve the Performance and Speed of your Website

This feature should never be underestimated. A quick website will make the experience more enjoyable when users visit your site and they will probably stay longer and come back in the future.

Good speed for your website will also improve your search engine rankings, as Google prioritizes them with faster page loads.

Several suggestions can help you improve the speed of your website.

10. Always choose HTTPS

HTTPS is a secure version of the HTTP. This means that all information exchanged between the Website and its visitors is secure and cannot be stolen by third parties.

Now the question is: Does having HTPS help better position a web page? The answer is yes. Google is always concerned about the safety of its users. For this reason, it rewards websites that use this protection protocol in a better position.
